Thursday 9th June

I helped Teresa with Misty and Grace both of whom were perfectly well behaved. Misty was placed 3rd out of five and Grace was fifth with the foals. It was really disappointing because she was of better quality than some of the others but it was because she is a little smaller. But it was a nice day and Teresa was proud of both of them.

Friday 10th June

My favourite day - mountain and moorland day! I took Rufus, Silky and Demelza and we gave Clare's Galaxy a lift up too given we had a spare slot on the trailer.

Silky was placed third out of three, Demelza won the class, Galaxy was third in her big class of about fourteen and Rufus was fourth. His leg was better than at Devon County but still not quite right. I'm retiring him from showing for this season.

Saturday 11th June

Very exciting day, my first outing on a Morgan so I learnt loads! He was an angel although would get a little tense at times. He is only four so we didn't expect heaps from him but he gave all he had and Heather was delighted! Jonathan ran him out in hand first and then I rode him to third place out of three, although he did honestly deserve second place.

Not long after I was called by Kath to get over to the Young Farmers tent for the 'Bad Taste Fashion' competition where I was dressed in all manner of atrocities before parading on stage (still with jodhs, long boots and shirt and tie underneath!) to take fourth place. And hopefully we shall have an appearance in next week's West Briton! The press loved us! :D
