Camborne Show - 16th July 2005

Veryan has been staying with me for about three weeks now and today I intended to do a ridden class with her, but we done so well with the in-hand (1st & Reserve Champion!) that I decided we'd call it quits and so Becky and I rode her around the show field instead. She was a total honey!

Penzance Show - 19th June 2005

Wally was robbed of first place and champion and instead was placed a terrible eighth. I don't really know what went wrong but I was quite saddened, so instead Brenin came second in his class and went reserve champion!

Frogpool and Gwennap Show - 12th June 2005

What an exhausting weekend! But it was worth it, Brenin was placed second and Star came away with a fourth. Unfortunately not having been ridden for five days didn't do him the world of good and he got very jumpy about having other ponies around him. But I was very proud of both of them and SuperBren was a little angel again.

Royal Cornwall - 9th-11th June 2005

A marvellous five days (yes, the first two consisted of setting up the YF cubicle and drinking the nights away in the exhibitors tent!) with the highlight being a win for my first ever homebred foaly, Demelza!

Le Trec Group Open Show - 29th May 2005

Brenin was first in the ring, with working hunter pony. He unfortunately refused a fence with a filler and plants growing in it, so fair enough. But he did jump clear other than that. Star followed in the Combination class and was placed second out of nineteen! Well done little man!

Later Brenin showjumped but got too worried up about the fillers, I think we need more practice at them, and done extremely well in the Le Trec competition with both Jonathan and I. He even stood still for Jonathan as he walked away! :D:D

South West Welsh Spring Show - 15th May 2005

Star was an angel! He was placed first out of three in-hand and second out of five in the ridden. Jonathan also took Harry who won his class and went cob champion and Heddy, who also won his class and went reserve champion (I think?!). And I was asked to run Heddy round in the Supreme which I was tickled pink at!

Tretherras School Show - 8th May 2005

This was pretty much the first ridden show of the season for most of us. Star was first on and it was his first ridden class ever, he threw me after a big spook (ouch!) and so was placed bottom of the line, but redeemed himself by giving a foot perfect individual and was moved to fourth out of about twelve. Becky and Airday had a good day, although I'm not really sure where they came, I know I saw a 5th place somewhere though!

Gwinear Show - 30th April 2005

Brenin's first show in harness. I was incredibly nervous but Brenin was an angel, he didn't put a foot wrong and was placed 3rd out of five which was a superb result! A massive thank you to Diane for all her support, without her I think I would have crumbled into a heap! lol. Thanks to Dad for bringing the gig along, to Jonathan for being a wonderful groom and to all my supporters :- Kathie, Sheila, Baynard, Teresa and Mum & Dad for being there to watch. It was a very special day that I will remember forever.

NPA Spring Show - 23rd April 2005

Rufus won his class much to Rozen's delight and Becky came third with Airday. Unfortunately I was unable to go - I was stuck in Torquay with Young Farmers, but it was worth it because we won our Entertainers and thus became National Champions - again!

NPA Dressage - 9th April 2005

Despite certain incidents, we had a lovely day and I was very, very proud of Star who won his class on his first ever appearance under saddle. Becky did a tremendous job with China Doll and was awarded a special rosette as did Jonathan with Brenin. Well done to all!

BDS One Day Event - 13th March 2005

Brenin's first outing to a competition. He was placed third in the horse section and behaved beautifully. He really done us proud - well done, little man!

Defiance Day 2005

I managed to borrow a steed from Straightgate through Steve and we joined the East Devon at their meet in Honiton. It was an amazing day with the most incredible atmosphere.

Diane's Christmas Drive Out - 19th December 2004

Carmenellis Carriage Club's Christmas Gathering. We had a brilliant day and Brenin was superbly well mannered. Top Pony!

Hunting - Winter 2004

Brenin and the others at various meets through the hunting season.

Devon County Show - 2004

Silk and Rufus had a great day out, kindly transported by Matt, we had a wonderful day out where to put the icing on the cake, Rufus won his class.

Winter Cross Country - 2003

This was an accumulator hunter trials in which both Fli and Bliss took second place in the 2'3'' and the 2'6'' classes respectively.

Royal Cornwall - 2003

The first season where Silk actually belonged to us! It was amazing to see our favorite mare in the County Show ring...
